For deep diving enthusiasts, Venezuela has some of the most beautiful and interesting places in the world: Los Roques Archipelago, with more than 50 islands and keys. Its known by its innumerable coralline reefs and wide mangrove swamps, surrounded by lonely beaches like few in the world. There is a small fishermen community living in Los Roques. They work in the small industry of fishing lobsters; sea shells and tropical water fish. Los Roques Archipelago is an incomplete atoll, still in formation process. Its base is an underwater mess that rises briskly from the surrounding sea floor. Is a wonderful area with a great variety of soft and hard corals, a multitude of fishes and various white sandy beaches. Los Roques, mostly uninhabited, invites one to swim, scuba dive, snorkel, sail, fish or just enjoy the virgin keys.
