The waterfall receives its name from the North American pilot and gold digger Jimmy Angel, who crashed his plane on the summit of the Tepuy. The re-making of the route will take you inside the mysterious Devil’s Canyon, an enormous throat of the Auyantepuy (Mountain of the Devil in native language).

Program Day by Day

Prepare yourself to observe one of the most breathtaking views...

DAY 1 - Caracas - Canaima – Sapo Falls (LD)

Flight from Caracas to Canaima. Assistance at the airstrip. Transfer to the lodge in Canaima. Welcome drink then ride thru the Canaima Lagoon, facing the waterfalls formed by the Carrao River. Walk in the jungle up until Sapo Falls, and pass under the water curtain formed by the river on its way down. After this exciting experience return to the lodge to take your lunch in front of the Lagoon and the falls. Boat ride in Canaima lagoon to approach near the falls and admire their entire splendor.

DAY 2 - Canaima- Angel Falls (BLD)

Early transfer to Ucaima Port to take a curiara through the Carrao River. At the Mayupa rapids it may be necessary to walk for about 20 min and let the crew haul the empty canoe through them. Short time after beginning your journey, you will be dazzled by the majestic Auyantepuy, home of the Angel Falls, standing still as medieval fortress of gigantic dimensions. Its impressive walls shelter the river from both sides. Once inside the Canyon, the Angel Falls appear in all its majesty when the boat approaches Ratoncito Island. Lunch in the open forest. Once in the camp board another curiara up until the point where you will walk to the lookout point. Enjoy a nice bath on the pool formed by the waterfall on its way down. Return to the camp, or relax going swimming in the Churun River. Dinner and overnight in hammocks at the camp in front of this magic scenery.

DAY 3 - Canaima (B)

Early Breakfast. Way back to Canaima Town. Transfer to airstrip. Connection flight to Caracas.
